The journal aims to promote the exploration and understanding of social processes by means of computer simulation. “Authors are strongly encouraged to include (either as separate files or as links to pages elsewhere on the Web) sufficient information to enable readers to replicate reported simulation experiments. Program code, ’pseudo-code’ or algorithms in standard formalisms can be hyperlinked to the body of articles, accompanied, if appropriate, with a specification of the system(s) on which the code will run (e.g. platform, operating system, compiler, support libraries required)”.
The journal was founded in 1998. There are four editions each year.
